Great Vacation!

Spent the week at Pirate's View in Roatan. The property managers made every effort to make our experience awesome. Super relaxing, gorgeous sunsets, and an island experience to remember! They left us to our privacy but were immediately available when needed. They also recommended a chef to prepare a private dinner which was FANTASTIC!! Island power outage during preparation and she managed to create an experience to remember. Thank you Kevin, Claire, and Johel for making this a stay for the memory books

Interesting house!

My family of 12 just returned from Pirates View. Overall the house was ok. It is located on a dirt road in a neighborhood. This is not clear in the description. The beach was not really where we would want to hang out. The neighbors car was actually parked on it. The plunge pool is much smaller than it appears in the picture. The dock was ok but in need of some repair. The water this time of year was brown for about 50 yards from the beach due to a stream running in with rainwater. We went to West Bay to use the beach, about a 20 min drive. We had the upstairs house and downstairs condo. The condo downstairs has quite a strong musty smell. We hired a chef for the week which made the experience manageable. Grocery shopping is a 10 min drive as well as most restaurants. With 12 of us I was happy we had the chef. Overall it was good but remember Roatan IS A DEVELOPING Island.

This property was home to amazing views and amazing amenities! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again next year! The master suite with private balcony was a great place to have coffee in the morning and watch the sun set in the evening. The middle level balcony included a splash pool, comfy furniture to lounge on and a large table to play games or enjoy a meal. The walk in shower was my favorite! Beautiful interior and comfortable beds and furniture. Close to all the fun! We enjoyed walking to Anthonys Key for breakfast in the mornings or taking a short drive to the West End for great shopping and entertainment. We definitely plan to return and have another stay at Pirates View!
Great Place!

I stayed here with a group of family members who were in Roatan for a wedding. The wedding was held at one This is a really cool place. To have such a view on Sandy Bay....just wonderful! The dock out back is unique and huge and in fact we spent one day just hanging out there drinking and chatting, taking advantage of the hammocks, snorkeling and kayaks. Plenty of shade, so don't think you have to be exposed, but if you want sun, there's a sun deck with a table, chairs and ottomans. Loved it! The reef is just a few hundred feet off the end of the dock, so take a kayak out there. Really, you could swim to the reef if you wanted to - the water salinity is high enough that you don't sink! Talk about effortless snorkeling! Just beautiful!
The house is well cared for and it's apparent - there's fresh paint everywhere. The kitchen, on the 2nd floor, is beautiful and large, with filtered water served from the fridge door and there's a generous walk-in pantry. The billiards table appears to be regulation size & in great shape. The balconies off the 2nd and 3rd floors are as wide as the house and the one on the 3rd floor is right off the Master bedroom (and is covered). Wonderful breezes! Air conditioners are there if you need them, but if you open the windows you shouldn't.
The location is only a short $6 cab ride to the West End, where there are lots of great restaurants & little shops & diving businesses. From there you can go to West Bay Beach (take a water taxi!) and spend the day at a FANTASTIC beach, with white sand, crystal clear warm water and beach bars. (Hang out at Bananarama - free chairs if you buy food or drinks at the bar!)
We really miss this place. It has ruined us for beach fun here on the East coast - nothing really can compare. We'll be back!

Oh my....what a beautiful house that is very well taken care of (well decorated also) you can tell owners really care about this property. All rooms are large and the one we choose had a bathroom and a porch with awesome furniture to start the day or just relax....Every morning my husband could find me sitting on one of the porches, having a cup of coffee watching the morning activities of the birds and fish with the boats going out to do their morning fishing. We stayed a week in this jewel of a house that is exactly what you see in pictures. After our days of exploring the island and spending time on the beautiful beaches that had wonderful pubs and restaurants. (that we never were hungry or thirsty ). We enjoyed our days relaxing, enjoying the beautiful crystal clear waters and some sightseeing. We also did some shopping while enjoying the local people who are the nicest around and welcome you to their island with big open hearts.
We even had a chief come to the house and prepared a awesome meal one night and next time we visit, he will come cook for us more nights...lol.
We rented a car and had no problems getting around the island and the property has a privacy fence all around that we could keep car inside the fence.
The sunsets are the prettiest ever, that every night we would sit on the porch and hear the sun sizzle as it slid into the water.
The property sits right on the water with a private pier that has hammocks you can enjoy also.
The house offers snorkel equipment and kayaks in the garage. We took advantage of both and spent hours snorkeling to the reef to see the sea life and nature under the water and other times using the kayaks to explore more of the islands beauty.
Each room has airconditoning, but I loved to spend time on the porches and my husband enjoyed the infinity pool on the porch also.
The island has so much to offer, that one week is not long enough....you truly need more time to enjoy all it has to offer. (Scuba diving, deep sea fishing, zipline, swimming with the porpoise to mention a few)
We will be back hopefully soon with friends...
